The DKB plans to stop the verification via the TAN2go app and is already recommending to delete the app.
However, the bank's FinTS PIN/TAN system has not been adapted yet, so verification via the new DKB app is currently not possible.
Since the Outbank app communicates with the DKB via the HBCI / FinTS-interface, we contacted the DKB and received the following information:
"The TAN2go app is currently still necessary because not all features are available in the new DKB app. If customers use financial software, the TAN2go is still required."
If you already deleted the TAN2go app, you can enable chipTAN verification, until the new DKB app is adapted so that it can also be used for authentication via the FinTS PIN/TAN interface. According to the information we have, the system update at the bank is scheduled for November 25, 2024.
