I have closed my bank account. How can I set the account balance to zero in the Outbank App? - iOS-Version / Edit Accounts - Outbank Helpdesk

I have closed my bank account. How can I set the account balance to zero in the Outbank App?

The Outbank App automatically detects when your account is no longer being transmitted by the bank and shows you the message "Account not found. Would you like to deactivate it?" Confirm this message by clicking 'YES' to disconnect the account in the app.

Once you have deactivated the account, it will appear grayed out in the 'Disconnected' group at the end of your account list. Your transaction history will be preserved, but no new transactions will be fetched.

If the account still shows the last active balance, you can set it to zero from the account settings:

In the iOS App:

  1. Select the disconnected account in the list of accounts..
  2. Tap either on the account name above the transaction list or use the context menu in the account list (long tap on the account cell) to open the account settings.
  3. Under the displayed balances, you will find the "Reset Balance" option. Tap on it to set the account balance to zero.

In the Android App:

  1. Select the disconnected account from the accounts list.
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right of the transaction list and select "Settings."
  3. Under the displayed balances, you will find the "Reset Balance" option. Tap on it to set the account balance to zero.

In the Windows 11 / Amazon FireOS App:

  1. Select the disconnected account from the accounts list.
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right of the transaction list and select "Settings."
  3. Under the displayed balances, you will find the "Reset Balance" option. Tap on it to set the account balance to zero.

In the macOS App:

  1. Select the desired account from the accounts list.
  2. Right-click on the account cell or use a secondary click (e.g., a click with two fingers simultaneously). Alternatively, click the button with the account name at the top left and select the "Settings" tab.
  3. Under the displayed balances, you will find the "Reset Balance" option. Click on it to reset the account balance.
