Account Groups

By default, the Outbank app groups your accounts by bank connection. But for more clarity, you can easily sort them based on what works best for you—whether that’s separating personal and business accounts, managing your family’s accounts in one place, or grouping similar account types like all your rewards or savings accounts.
Each group displays the total balance of all assigned accounts, giving you an organized overview of your finances.

Create a New Account Group

  • iOS version:
'Accounts' > Tap the icon with three bars in the top right corner > 'New Group'
Or: 'Settings' > 'Personalization' > 'Account List' > 'Account Grouping' > 'New Group'
  • Android version:
'Accounts' > Select and hold an account > Tap the + button in the bottom right corner
Or: 'Settings' > 'Personalization' > 'Account List' > 'Account Grouping' > Tap the + button in the bottom right
  • macOS version:
'Options' > 'Edit Groups' > 'New Account Group'
Or use the shortcut: CMD + Shift + N

Notes:

  • An account can only be assigned to one account group at a time. If an account is already part of a group (marked by the folder icon), it will automatically be removed from that group when added to a new one.
  • Ungrouped accounts are automatically listed under "My Accounts." This group can also be edited at any time.

Change the Order of Account Groups

  • iOS / Android:
'Settings' > 'Personalization' > 'Account List' > 'Account Grouping' > 'Edit' > Tap and hold the grey bar on the right side of a group > Drag to desired position
  • macOS:
Click slightly offset next to the group name in the account list to move it, then drag and drop

Change the Order of Accounts Within a Group

  • iOS / Android:
'Accounts' > Tap the icon with three bars in the top right > Hold the grey bar next to an account > Drag to desired position
  • macOS:
Click and hold an account directly in the account list and drag it to a new position

Note: To move an account to a different group, the target group must be expanded.

Rename an Account Group

  • iOS / Android:
'Settings' > 'Personalization' > 'Account List' > 'Account Grouping' > Select the group > 'Rename'
  • macOS:
'Options' > 'Edit Groups' > Double-click the group name (the field becomes editable) > Rename
Alternatively, you can use the CMD + Shift + N shortcut to open the menu

Delete an Account Group

  • iOS / Android:
'Settings' > 'Personalization' > 'Account List' > 'Account Grouping' > Swipe left over the desired group
  • macOS:
'Options' > 'Edit Groups' > The option 'Delete Group' will appear next to the group name

Note: When the last account in a group is moved to another group, the empty group is automatically deleted.
