N26: Why are booked transactions displayed as expected for longer in Outbank than at N26?

Since N26 regularly changes transaction IDs and timestamps on the go (something that ideally shouldn’t happen), the Outbank app cannot reliably determine whether these are the same or new transactions. This issue has repeatedly led to duplicate transactions in the past. To prevent duplicates, we deliberately keep expected transactions visible in Outbank a bit longer.
After a full banking day has passed since the transaction date, the transactions will appear as booked in Outbank as well. During this period, the balance of expected transactions will not be shown in the account list. The account balance and the charts in your transaction lists and reports also reflect the correct totals.
Until we find a better solution for handling duplicates, we will stick with this workaround.
