Collective Transfer

Collective Transfer

The collective transfer feature is exclusively available to Outbank BUSINESS customers.
If you have a business subscription and your bank allows SEPA collective transfers via HBCI+ or FinTS for your account, you can send your prepared collective transfers via Outbank. Instant collective transfers and scheduled collective transfers are also supported.

Sending a Collective Transfer

  1. Go to ‘+ New’ > ‘Send Money’ on iOS and Android, or ‘Options’ > ‘Send Money’ on macOS to open the payment window.
  2. Select the account you want to send the money from.
  3. At the top of the next screen, toggle the ‘Collective’ switch.
If the option is not displayed for the selected account, contact your bank to enable the SEPA collective transfer feature for the HBCI+/FinTS interface for your account.
  4. Enter a custom name for the collective transfer. If you don’t provide a name, the uploaded file’s name will be used by default.
Tip: To easily identify the collective transfer later in your payment history, consider using a concise label.
  5. Upload the file containing the prepared transfers in SEPA-pain-XML format.
  6. On the next screen, review a summary of all individual transfers.
At the top, you will see the number of items and the total amount of the transfers. Below that is a list of individual transfers. You can view the details of each transfer by selecting it.
Note: Changes to individual transfers cannot be made within Outbank. If you find an error, please update the original file accordingly and re-upload it to Outbank.
  7. If all individual transfers are correct, proceed to:
    - Specify or edit the payment information identifier.
    - Select the transfer type: Depending on your account’s features, you can choose between standard transfer, instant payment, or scheduled payment.
For scheduled collective transfers, set an execution date.
    - Under booking mode, decide whether the transactions should appear as a single entry or as separate entries in your bank statement.
Note: How transactions are ultimately processed and displayed depends on your bank.
  8. Review the summary to ensure all details are accurate. Editable fields are marked in color.
  9. Click ‘Send Now’ to submit the transaction to your bank.
  10. Enter the TAN or confirm the transaction through your bank’s TAN app.

Important Notes on Instant Payments:
- Instant payments only work if both the sender's and recipient's banks support instant payments.
- Outgoing instant payments can have higher transaction fees. Please inquire directly with your bank about the service fees. If a recipient’s bank does not support real-time transfers, you can consent to proceed with a standard transfer instead.

Payment History

The payment history provides an overview of all sent collective transfers. You can access your history in the transfer window when creating a new collective transfer or via the success message after sending a collective transfer. If a collective transfer or a specific transfer within the batch fails, the error message from the bank can be seen in the details and, if necessary, forwarded to the bank’s technical support team.

To remove a collective transfer from the history:
- Swipe right on the entry and select ‘Delete’ on iOS and Android.
- On macOS, click the ‘Delete’ button in the details or use a secondary click to select ‘Delete.’

Scheduled Collective Transfers

Scheduled collective transfers appear in the list of transactions, just like regular scheduled transfers. They are displayed above the booked transactions.
If the feature is supported by your bank via the FinTS interface, existing scheduled collective transfers can also be deleted through Outbank.
