Trade Republic Integration in Outbank

Setting Up Your Trade Republic Account

To add your Trade Republic account, you’ll need the same login credentials you use to access the Trade Republic app and website:

  • Phone number with country code (format: +49 176 04004004)

  • PIN or Password

How Does Two-Factor Authentication Work with Trade Republic?

  • Verification is handled via the Trade Republic app - either per TAN or direct confirmation. A new verification is required for each account refresh.

    Important: To complete the verification, make sure you're logged in to the Trade Republic app and that push notifications are enabled.
    If you’re not receiving push notifications from the Trade Republic app, please go directly to the app to see whether the confirmation window is displayed there. If necessarry, you can start a new account refresh in Outbank to trigger a new verification.

  • Each time you authorize an account refresh in Outbank, you will also receive an email from Trade Republic, notifying you of the login from an unknown device. This is part of Trade Republic’s security process, not an error.

  • If the pushTAN system of Trade Republic is temporarily unavailable, the bank will send an SMS TAN for verification. Enter the SMS TAN in the same field where you would normally enter the pushTAN from the Trade Republic app.

Payments

Trade Republic currently does not provide data through "HBCI+" or "FinTS PIN/TAN." Therefore, Outbank fetches data directly from the Trade Republic website, which means only balance and transaction queries are available.
TAN-based transactions can only be supported once Trade Republic enables the feature via "HBCI" or "FinTS PIN/TAN.'

Known Limitations

Currently, Child Savings Accounts and Private Markets are not displayed on the Trade Republic website. Since Outbank retrieves the data directly from the website, this information cannot be shown in Outbank at the moment.
As soon as Trade Republic makes these data available on their website – and not only in the app – we will be able to integrate the feature in Outbank as well.
