What is a counter entry and how do I create one?

In the Outbank app, you have the option to create a counter entry from one account to another. This feature is useful if, for example, you withdraw money from an ATM and want to quickly transfer the amount to your cash account.
With a counter entry, the transaction details are transferred, and the new transaction is automatically created in the target account with the reversed sign.
To create a counter entry, simply follow the steps below:

Counter entry for a single transaction:

  1. Select the desired account under 'Accounts' > Search for the transaction and open the transaction details.
  2. Tap the share icon (bottom left corner on iOS and macOS, top right on Android) and select 'Create counter entry'.
  3. Select the target account to which you want to add the counter entry.

Creating a counter entry for multiple transactions:

  1. Select the desired account under 'Accounts' or use the global search to search for specific transactions. 'Edit' the transaction list (on iOS and Android).
  2. Select the desired transactions in the transaction list.
  3. Tap or click on the share icon (bottom left on iOS and macOS, top right on Android) and select 'Create counter entries'.
  4. Select the target account for which the counter entries should be created.

Create counter entries for all transactions of a specific account:

  1. Select the desired account under 'Accounts' and 'Edit' the transaction list (on iOS and Android).
  2. Tap or click on the share icon (bottom left on iOS and macOS, top right on Android) and select 'Create counter entries'. If no transactions are selected, all transactions will be edited.
  3. Select the target account for which the counter entries should be created.
