How can I transfer my Outbank data to a new Amazon Fire Tablet?

To transfer your data to a new Amazon Fire Tablet, please use the local backups: 

  1. Launch the Outbank app on the Fire Tablet with your latest data, go to 'Settings' and then 'Backups.' 
  2. Create a new backup or select an existing one, then choose 'Send' and select your preferred option, such as via email. Send the backup to your own email address. 
  3. If you haven't already done so, install Outbank on your new device through the Amazon Appstore
  4. Open the email on your new Fire Tablet. Download the backup file from Outbank to your device and save it in a designated local folder.
    Check if the file extension is ".obk" has been removed during data transfer. If yes, simply rename the file. Make sure that there are no extra spaces in the filename.  
    (Example of correct filename: Outbank_Backup_20230907-1752+0000.obk)
  5. Tap on the local backup file and select Outbank to open the file. 
  6. Enter the Fire Tablet´s App Password you used to generate the backup. 

Important Note: 
After restoring a backup, you must log in again with your Outbank ID and restore your subscription. Simply choose the "Restore Purchase" option within your app.
