Adding your HypoVereinsbank account
Start the Outbank app’s setup assistant and search for the bank code or location of your HypoVereinsbank branch. Enter the same login credentials you use on the HVB Online Banking website for the login:

How does Two-Factor Authentication work at HypoVereinsbank?
For two-step verification, you can either use appTAN or photoTAN. Make sure that your selected TAN method is activated for your accounts in the bank's FinTS PIN/TAN system. You can find this setting in the HVB Online Banking portal under ‘Security’ > ‘TAN Procedures’ > ‘Manage TAN Procedures’.
If you change the TAN method for an existing HVB account, simply update the bank configuration in the Outbank app after it has been activated by the bank. To do so, go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Bank Credentials’ > ‘Select HVB login’ > ‘Update Configuration’.
Please note: For every login to HVB Online Banking portal, a TAN is required.
The bank provides checking accounts, savings accounts, and investment accounts through the HBCI/FinTS interface. For those accounts, a TAN must be entered every 90 days in Outbank.
Since the bank doesn’t provide any credit cards via FinTS, Outbank retrieves them via screen scraping from the Online Banking website. Similarly to logging into the HVB website, every account refresh in Outbank must be confirmed in the HVB app.
Tip: To save time and still ensure you don’t miss any important account changes, adjust the account refresh interval for your HVB Credit Cards. To do so, simply go to ‘Settings’ > ‘ Refresh Accounts’ and choose an appropriate interval, such as once a week.
The interval settings apply to app-start updates, automatic background refreshes, as well as manual and automatic account refreshes. Of course, you can always update your credit card accounts account manually whenever you have time for the two-factor authentication.
