How can I sync my Outbank Data across multiple Devices?

With ‘Secure Sync’, Outbank automatically synchronizes your financial data across all your devices in real time.

This means you only need to make changes once. Simply set up your bank accounts on one device, and they'll be available everywhere. Categories, tags, and notes are automatically synced across all your devices. Transactions you've already read don't need to be marked as read multiple times, your reports stay up to date everywhere, and even your cards in the account overview are automatically synchronized.

Encryption methods based on the zero-knowledge principle ensure 100% security during synchronization. Neither Outbank nor any third party can access your synchronized financial data.

Requirements

Before you set up ‘Secure Sync’, make sure that:

  • the latest version of the app is installed on all devices.
    IMPORTANT NOTE: A new Secure Sync technology was introduced with version 4.0. Therefore, Secure Sync must be set up again once after the update. After that, synchronization will take place automatically as usual.

  • the same Outbank ID is used on all devices.

    • If you don't have an Outbank ID yet, you can create a new one under ‘Settings’ > ‘Outbank ID’.

    • If you already have an Outbank ID, you can log in via the app's ‘Settings’ or – when launching Outbank for the first time on a new device – select the 'I already use Outbank' option directly during onboarding. If sync data is linked to your Outbank ID, it will be automatically imported when you log in during onboarding.

      A verification code will be sent to your email address to complete the sign-in.

Set up Secure Sync

1. Start Outbank on the device with the most up-to-date data, and enable the Secure Sync toggle under ‘Settings’ > ‘Secure Sync’.

2. Then start Outbank on the second device you want to sync, and enable the Secure Sync toggle under ‘Settings’ > ‘Secure Sync’ there as well.

3. If the app asks whether the local data should be overwritten with the sync data, tap ‘OK’.

4. Enter the app password of the first device to connect your devices.

5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 on all other devices.
