norisbank: IT System Migration

On May 26, 2025, norisbank introduced a new online banking system:

The changes implemented by the bank have an impact on the accounts managed in Outbank.

Change in TAN Procedures

  • mobileTAN has been discontinued and can no longer be used to authorize banking transactions.

  • photoTAN  can still be used if it was previously set up. However, it is no longer possible to set it up in the new online banking system.

  • BestSign has been newly introduced. To activate this new TAN method, please follow the steps in the bank's tutorial:

To activate your new TAN method in Outbank, simply update the configured bank login in the app:
'Settings' > 'Bank Credentials' > 'Select norisbank' > 'Update Configuration'
Afterward, the new TAN method can be selected.

Credit Cards via FinTS

Since the system update, norisbank provides credit card data via the FinTS interface. Until now, Outbank retrieved the credit card data directly from the online banking website using ‘screenscraping’.
As a result of this change, the old credit card accounts previously accessed via screenscraping will be deactivated, and new accounts will be created using the FinTS connection. Please confirm the question whether you'd like to deactivate the old accounts by selecting “Yes.”

Afterwards you can transfer your transaction history from the old accounts to the new ones:

  1. First, open the newly created account and check the date of the oldest transaction in the account.

  2. Then, switch to the 'old' account and select the transactions that were booked before the date of the oldest transaction in the 'new' account:
    - In the iOS version, press 'Edit' in the upper right corner of the list of transactions and then select the old transactions.
    - If you are using the Android select the account, press on the 3 dots in the upper right corner, and select 'Edit'. Then you can select the transactions.
    - In the macOS app, you can select the desired transactions with the cursor.

  3. Tap or click on the 'Export' button at the bottom and select 'Export to Another Account'.

  4. Select the new account.

  5. Press 'Export' to copy the transactions to the new account.

After completing the transaction history in your new account, you can hide the old account:

  • In iOS version: 'Accounts' > 'Select account' > 'Select dropdown next to account name' > Hide account.

  • In the Android version: 'Accounts' > 'Select account' > 'Tap on the 3 dots in the top right corner > 'Settings' > 'Hide account

  • In the macOS version: 'Accounts' > 'Select account' > 'Press on the account name above the turnover list' > 'Settings' > 'Hide account
