How can I add a new Category (Main Category / Subcategory)?

With our new category system you can add own categories. Yo can also create as many subcategories as you want. 

To add a new Main Category please proceed as follows:

  • iOS,  Android, Windows 11 / Amazon FireOS Version: 
    Settings > Categories & Rules  > 'Add Main Category '
    or
    open the transaction details from the list of transactions > tap on 'Category' > scroll down and select 'Add Main Category'
  • macOS-Version: 
    Options > Categories & Rules > click on the +-button in the bottom left links > enter the name of the new category >  select 'save as Main Category' > Done
    or
    open the transaction details from the list of transactions > click on 'Category' > 'add Main Category' > select 'save as Main Category' > Done

To add a new Subcategory for an existing Main Category please proceed as follows:

  • iOS, Android, Windows 11 / Amazon FireOS Version: 
    Settings > Categories & Rules > select the Main Category > tap on 'Add subcategory' > Enter the name of the new Subcategory
    or
    open the transaction details from the list of transactions > tap on 'Category' > select the Main Category > tap on 'Add subcategory' > Enter the name of the new Subcategory
  • macOS-Version: 
    Options > Categories & Rules > select the Main Category > click on the +-button in the bottom left links > enter the name of the new Subcategory >Done
    or
    open the transaction details from the list of transactions > click on 'Category' > when you move the mouse over the category list you can choose 'Add Subcategory'
