C24 Integration in Outbank

Setting up your C24 Account

  1. Open the Outbank app on iOS or Android device and go to ‘+NEW’ > ‘Add Account’. In the macOS app, go to ‘Options’ > ‘Add Account’. This will launch the Outbank setup assistant.

  2. Search for 'C24' in the list of supported banks. Select the bank from the search results and tap ‘Connect’.

  3. Perform 2-step-verification to set up the connection.

How Does Two-Factor Authentication Work with C24?

At C24, you can choose between two verification methods:

C24 App:

You can approve the connection directly in the C24 app.

QR Code:

  1. A QR code will be displayed for TAN approval.
  2. To scan this graphic, you’ll need the C24 app on a second device:
If you have an Apple Watch or Smartwatch, you can display the TAN graphic on your watch and scan it with the C24 app on your smartphone.
If you don't have a smartwatch, take a screenshot of the QR code, leave Outbank with the QR code still displayed, and send the screenshot to another device.
  3. Open the screenshot on that device.
  4. Open the C24 app on your smartphone. After logging in, tap ‘More’ at the bottom right, then ‘Online Banking’ at the top left (found under ‘Account Functions / My Account’).
The in-app camera will launch to scan the QR code.
If you receive a security notice saying “Never scan a QR code from a site other than banking.c24.de,” just tap ‘OK’.
  5. Scan the screenshot from your second device. C24 will generate a 6-digit TAN.
  6. Go back to the Outbank app and log in again. The authorization window with the QR code will still be visible.
  7. Tap the blue ‘OK’ button below the QR code and enter the 6-digit TAN.
  8. Confirm by tapping ‘OK’.

Each account refresh must be confirmed using two-factor authentication (2FA). To make the account refreshes more efficient, you can reduce the query interval of N26 accounts. Additionally, you can group all accounts under one access in an account group. This way, only a single confirmation or TAN query is required for the entire group when updating.

Payments

As C24 currently does not provide any data through "HBCI+" or "FinTS PIN/TAN", Outbank fetches the data via screenscraping directly from the website, which means only balance and transaction queries are available. TAN-based transactions can only be supported once the bank enables the feature via "HBCI" or "FinTS PIN/TAN.'
